Introduction

My Name is Emily and I am a High School student in Maine. I was on Varsity for the competition cheering team at my school last season. I have been cheering for 6 years, and it is my favorite sport. I have learned a lot through cheer leading and I think that it is a good sport for everyone to try. In my Blog, I am going to talk about what cheer leading is, and about different cheer leading teams.

Competition cheer leading is a sport that takes strength, coordination, and teamwork. It is a sport for both boys and girls of all ages. In competition cheering, teams compete with 3 minute routines in front of judges. Teams are split into different divisions determined by age or skill level. The cheerleaders are scored on their jumps, dance, tumbling, stunts, synchronization, and overall affect. The team with the highest score wins the competition. Competition cheer leading is a fun and challenging sport for girls and boys of all ages.
